In the upper left is a poster created for a Imago’s production of Harold Pinter’s, The Caretaker. In the upper right is a program for the play, to be distributed at the door and designed to look like an old newspaper.
The play is set in London circa 1960 and based around a homeless man as the main character. For that reason, Imago wanted to give a grungy look to the main image featuring the lead actor for all the advertising. The original photo, taken by Owen Carey for Artist Repertory Theatre was from a previous play starring Allen Nause (the lead in the Caretaker) and William Hurt. Goodmark used the image to give the photo an entirely different look and feel for use with The Caretaker’s branding.
